Becoming a peer mentor

What is a peer mentor?

Peer mentors are volunteers with lived experience of infertility, pregnancy loss, TFMR, or infant loss who offer support to others who are earlier in their journey. They provide compassionate, non judgmental support through listening, shared experience, and connection.

Peer mentors are not counsellors, but offer a space to be heard and understood by someone who has been through something similar.

The graphic on the left outlines the process for becoming a peer mentor with Butterfly Support Network.

If you are looking for support for yourself, please complete our intake form to access our services.

We also realize that you may be joining from many different places, and acknowledge the

traditional owners and caretakers of those lands. If you do not know who’s land you are on,

we encourage you to find out by going to: www.native-land.ca.
