Founder & Executive Director
Kimberly Lockhart
After the stillbirth of her son, Wilder Jay, in 2017, Kimberly became an advocate for families facing pregnancy loss, TFMR, infant loss, and infertility. Since 2019, she has helped grow Butterfly Run Vancouver into the national Butterfly Support Network, creating connection and support for grieving families. With a background in special education and a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion, she continues to link families across BC to vital resources and education.

Programs Coordinator
Emma Gardner
For Emma, this work is deeply personal. It has been shaped by six years of infertility, three rounds of IVF, three miscarriages, a termination for medical reasons, and the death of her daughter, Grace, at just 2.5 months old. Living with grief and gratitude side by side, she honours Grace through her work at Butterfly Support Network.
Emma understands the value of professional counselling, the importance of peer support, and the power of community for those navigating pregnancy loss, infertility, and infant loss. She has lived in Vancouver since 2014. She and her partner are raising their son Jack, who was born via IVF eighteen months after Grace’s death.
Emma previously practised as a clinical psychologist in the UK for ten years.
