TRAIL COMMITTEE

Melissa Archambault
Supporting others through connection and community has always been at the heart of everything I do. I am passionate about supporting families and strengthening the region we call home, demonstrated in my work as a Student Support Teacher and as a Director on the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Health Foundation Board.
I found the Butterfly Support Network after experiencing the traumatic loss of my baby boy at four months pregnant in March 2024. During my third pregnancy, I also experienced an early pregnancy loss at six weeks. My experiences changed my life and opened my eyes to just how many women and families experience pregnancy and infant loss. They also taught me that grief has no timeline—it can resurface unexpectedly, regardless of how much time has passed.
My goal is to help individuals and families find the support they need by connecting them with the Butterfly Support Network. I also hope to strengthen awareness and build more resources closer to home so that families in the Trail region have access to compassionate support and care within our community.
